CSPI Sues to Stop Alcoholic Energy Drink

The Center for Science in the Public Interest yesterday filed suit against MillerCoors Brewing Company over its alcoholic energy drink, Sparks. The product has more alcohol than regular beer and contains unapproved additives, including the stimulants caffeine and guarana. The lawsuit is asking the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to stop MillerCoors from selling the controversial drink, which is also under scrutiny from state attorneys general.

Ny rapport fra Forbrugerstyrelsen

24timer skriver i dag om en endnu ikke offentliggjort rapport fra Forbrugerstyrelsen. Den stiller skarpt på forbrugerforholdene i Danmark. I år har man blandt andet stillet skarpt på børn og unge i en virtuel verden. Af familier med børn har hele 96 procent adgang til internettet. 98 procent af børnene bruger internettet hjemme, og 73 procent af børnene bruger internettet dagligt. 28 procent af forældrene stoler på, at deres barn selv kan vurdere de virtuelle- og online-spilverdener, der besøges. 11 procent af forældrene gør slet ikke noget for at regulere deres børns færden på nettet. 16 procent af børnene giver udtryk for, at de enten har købt eller ønsker at købe nogle af de ting, de har set i virtuelle verdener.
