Brug for alternative idrætstilbud til børn

Overvægtige og motorisk svage børn vil gerne dyrke motion, hvis de får de rigtige tilbud – og lige efter skoletid, viser ny rapport fra Skoleidrættens Udviklingscenter. Det er en opsamling af erfaringerne fra Kulturministeriets pulje ‘Børn og unge i bevægelse’. 24 projekter fik i alt 24 millioner kroner i 2004 og 2005 til at udvikle nye idrætstilbud, hvor idrætsforeningerne samarbejder med de kommunale myndigheder og skole- og institutionsverdenen om at gøre de idrætsusikre børn aktive.

Tina Brændgaard er en af fem tidligere kræftpatienter fra foreningen Proof of Life, der i søndags løb maraton i Berlin. Det var hendes første, og hun løb de 42,5 km på knap 4 timer og 45 minutter.
