Waist-hip ratio better than BMI in predicting health risk

Date from the EPPIC study has confirmed that simple measurements of the waist and hips may offer a better way of predicting obesity-related death than a standard, but more complicated, system of relating weight to height (BMI). 60% of Canadians are concerned about pesticide residue on fruit and vegetables, according to poll results released by the Canadian Cancer Society. 80% carefully wash all fruit and vegetables before consuming to reduce their exposure to pesticide residue. 24% said they purchase products that have not been exposed to chemicals when they can.
